FRUGAL??? my A$$!

Today while BF and I were driving to the markets we passed one of these:

with a Personalised Number Plate with the word 'FRUGAL' on it.

AHAHAHA!

I'm sorry, but not only are the cars themselves new priced between $70 000 to $150 000, but a single-word Personalised Plate sets you back $2500.00!!!

There's nothing frugal about it at all.
I'm guessing it's meant to be a joke, and in which case it's quite mean and dispiriting to those who truly are frugal, because it's slightly like a slap in the face when you think about it.

frugal. bah.

I think its funny! I know I'd probably do something like that as a joke too, but it wouldn't be to tick someone off.

They built a new shopping center by my work. Those LCD screens that change said, "What are you saving for?"
"Stop! buy here"
I couldn't believe it. The sign actually said to stop saving your money and spend it here.
The guy driving that car probably came up with that.
