i'm sorry, but is this annoying anyone else?

i'm sorry, but i am just so sick of seeing all these 'new blogs' spring up that are just marketing for some other product or loan or website. when i see a new blog listed, i am genuinely interested in reading a newbie's financial revelations, not some essay on car loans. it is just so disappointing.

Is there ANYONE here that actually reads them and says 'hey, what a good idea, i think i'll go buy that/do that/go to that website' ???

    Count me in. Irritating! Some seem like they are asking for ideas... like "what do you think?" and then they're going to go and use OUR ideas! I don't mind sharing with our "family," but I agree that there are some that seem like they are here to promote their businesses!

    I agree... I know I'm a bit of a newbie myself, but I just hate when they post "article" blogs, and I know they aren't really interested in our personal blogs. I like this site because of all the personal experiences and opinions, and the support that is offered for everyone. I just wish everyone ELSE would realize that!

    They're very good about that, and yes, they bother me too.

    oh good i didn't know that they're deleted. that's made me happy Big Grin i just saw that new one imagination.gs or something, then the day before i saw the one on upside down car loans. argh! that's what made me write this post haha.

    They annoy me as well. I try to skip them when I can but every now and then I'll accidentally open one up.

    thanks guys i'm glad i'm not the only one! i just get so annoyed because i get all excited about a new persons' blog and then find out it's NOT, and then also find out it's just some advertisement... it's like a double whammy! grr.

    I agree with you also. I read that upside down car thing and thought to myself "What's this all about?"
    I don't have a blog of my own yet but this is one of my favorite sites and you all do seem like family. I love to read how everybody helps everybody else out with problems and down to earth advice.
    I have been checking in for a few months now but I am not in any financial difficulty and feel I wouldn't have much to contribute. I also consider myself a peasant but at least I'm a happy peasant. As far as keeping a spreadsheet, I don't even know how to do those things yet and a 'URL', I'm not even sure what that would involve?
    So I hope you're not mad at me too?
    I really enjoy this site and I am slowly getting to know some of the names. Then one day when I'm ready I will join in.

    I hate them and I hate when people post comments as snonymous and they are rude comments....Brenda...not at all. You read for info and even if you don't have a blog, it makes you a family member. Smile
